Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will serve as a senior advisor and integral member of the development team, engaging closely with:

  • Drilling, completions, and production operations
  • Geological and reservoir specialists
  • Exploration teams

Responsibilities will encompass:

  • Guiding the development of in-field and near-field opportunities
  • Mentoring junior engineers to enhance their professional growth
  • Participating in well planning and portfolio analysis
  • Assisting in troubleshooting underperforming wells
  • Generating SEC reserve reporting data
  • Updating and composing reservoir models
Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • A minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering, with at least 15 years in offshore Gulf of Mexico operations and 5 years in deepwater settings
  • Proficiency in classic reservoir engineering methodologies, including PVT, PTA analyses, and material balance
  • Expertise in network modeling, reservoir simulation, economic evaluations, and field development studies
  • Familiarity with software tools such as PTA/Kappa, PVT Sim, ValNav, tNavigator/Eclipse, or similar
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency status
