Position: Offshore Turnaround Lead
General Overview:
The Offshore Turnaround Lead is responsible for overseeing the execution of Turnaround (TAR) operations for offshore facilities in the Gulf of Mexico. This role encompasses the entire lifecycle of Turnaround projects, ensuring they are effectively managed from initial planning through to successful completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage comprehensive Turnaround efforts in alignment with established processes and objectives.
- Ensure safe execution of Turnaround activities.
- Facilitate collaborative planning sessions to develop work lists.
- Maintain a consistent operational rhythm to achieve project deliverables.
- Schedule and document planning meetings for successful Turnaround execution.
- Lead gate reviews and manage documentation required for these assessments.
- Deliver Turnarounds on schedule and within budget while meeting all conditions of satisfaction.
- Conduct readiness assessments for Turnarounds and implement necessary improvement plans.
- Provide leadership and direction to the Turnaround team.
- Regularly update stakeholders on Turnaround progress and outcomes.
- Integrate Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards into all Turnaround processes.
- Facilitate discussions on lessons learned from Turnaround activities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of ten years of relevant experience in managing offshore Turnarounds or outages, with additional experience in project management preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with construction best practices and offshore facility standards.
- Strong business acumen to drive favorable project outcomes.
- Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
- Proficient in work management systems and turnaround planning.
- Solid understanding of project cost estimation, scheduling, and risk management.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to produce technical reports.
- Capability to manage external construction services and work effectively under pressure.
- Primarily office-based work with occasional travel to various work sites.
- Fieldwork may involve outdoor conditions in construction environments.
- Collaboration with team members, supervisors, and client representatives.
- Exposure to construction sites and production machinery.
- Compliance with safety regulations and use of personal protective equipment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
- Effective communication abilities.
- Capacity to sit for extended periods.
- Good vision and observational skills for analysis and investigations.
- Manual dexterity for routine office tasks.
