Your Team
We are seeking individuals to join our dynamic Care Management team, recognized as one of California's leading medical groups. With over 4,000 physicians across 40 cities, we are dedicated to serving more than 500,000 patients. The role of Customer Service Specialist is pivotal in managing telephonic inquiries from our diverse clientele. Key responsibilities include:
- Handling incoming calls for Customer Service, Referral Services, and PPO claim departments.
- Documenting all interactions in the EPIC CRM system.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary information for resolving customer inquiries, escalating issues as needed.
- Providing education and troubleshooting assistance related to enrollment and the use of EpicLink.
- Adhering to established production and quality standards while maintaining a consistent work schedule.
Skills and Experience
We are looking for candidates who can:
- Effectively resolve telephonic inquiries while maintaining professional relationships with all customers.
- Utilize reference materials to address inquiries and actively listen to customer needs.
- Research basic issues and follow up with providers or members within established turnaround times.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with a professional approach to problem-solving.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team, fostering a positive environment.
Required Experience
Applicants should have:
- A minimum of 1 year of customer service experience in an IPA or HMO setting.
- Experience with customer service ACD software, such as Cisco Finesse.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, enrollment, and claims processing procedures.
- Familiarity with ICD-10, RVS, and CPT codes.
Preferred Experience
Additional experience is a plus:
- 2+ years in customer service within an IPA or HMO environment.
- 2+ years of expertise with ACD software.
Education
A High School Diploma or GED is required.
