The Field Operations Supervisor at TMG Construction is tasked with overseeing the daily activities of various construction projects, ensuring that all operations are executed efficiently and in accordance with established standards. This role is crucial in maintaining the quality of work and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily field operations to meet project timelines and objectives.
  • Develop and implement short-term project schedules to ensure effective communication and tracking of upcoming tasks.
  • Promote a culture of safety, health, and cleanliness on-site.
  • Coordinate and manage the workflow to guarantee that all construction activities are performed in an orderly manner, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Establish and maintain dimensional controls for projects, utilizing third-party survey and layout services as necessary.
  • Ensure all work is executed to high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and facilitate timely solutions.
  • Manage inspections and ensure that all quality control measures are documented appropriately.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual and legal requirements relevant to the projects.
  • Administer specific client programs related to quality control, safety, and environmental stewardship.
  • Conduct and participate in various project meetings to maintain alignment with stakeholders.
  • Engage with clients regularly to discuss project status and address any concerns.
  • Oversee self-performed work to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Manage changes in project scope effectively to minimize rework.
  • Administer contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Oversee the punch list and project closeout processes to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain accurate daily records, including timecards and field reports.
  • Encourage continuous professional development among staff.
  • Foster positive interactions with support teams across the organization.
  • Collaborate with other Superintendents or the General Superintendent for guidance and support.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Construction Management or a related field, with 2-3 years of relevant experience, or Journeyman status in a building trade with 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the construction industry, particularly with commercial or institutional projects.
  • Preferred experience in government contracting.
  • Proficient in construction-related software and tools.
  • Current safety certifications, including OSHA 30, OSHA 10, First Aid, and CPR.
  • Current CQC certification from USACE / NAVFAC.
  • US Citizenship is required for most positions.
