POSITION SUMMARY:

Republic Services is seeking a dedicated Fleet Operations Supervisor to manage fleet equipment and lead a team of technicians responsible for maintenance and repair activities. This role involves overseeing preventive maintenance operations for a fleet of vehicles, ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulations. The Fleet Operations Supervisor will also be tasked with efficiently planning repair work to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide direction to technicians and supervisors in the maintenance facility to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Oversee planning and scheduling of repair work to optimize productivity and manage overtime effectively.
  • Maintain a preventive maintenance program, control maintenance expenditures, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Manage external repair facilities and inspections to uphold safety standards and compliance.
  • Stay informed on advanced maintenance techniques for heavy equipment and vehicles, and handle administrative responsibilities for the team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
  • Customer service-oriented with excellent analytical and organizational capabilities.
  • Degree in a related field or Automotive Service Excellence certification.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in the transportation sector.
