PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Clinical Operations Supervisor is accountable for managing a team of clinical professionals, including RNs, LPNs, and CMAs. This role requires a high level of professionalism in interactions with both patients and staff.

The Supervisor must possess the confidence and capability to mentor colleagues and provide guidance on resolving daily operational challenges within the clinical department.

Building strong relationships with team members is essential to empower them in delivering outstanding patient care.

Key responsibilities include overseeing daily clinical operations, ensuring departmental efficiency, and serving as a liaison between administration and clinical staff. The Supervisor will implement and communicate improvement initiatives within departmental teams, adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES
  • Supervise RNs, LPNs, and CMAs across multiple clinic sites.
  • Manage timekeeping for team members.
  • Empower team members to lead and inspire others.
  • Conduct interviews, hiring, and onboarding training for new staff.
  • Create weekly work schedules for various locations.
  • Address and investigate complaints and concerns, relaying issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Enhance the quality and efficiency of clinical operations through administrative responsibilities.
  • Proactively suggest workflow improvements to optimize departmental processes.
  • Participate actively in Quality Improvement initiatives.
  • Present data for specific quality metrics using reporting tools.
  • Implement lean management principles for problem-solving and change management.
  • Oversee medical supply inventory and ordering.
  • Manage daily workflow to ensure effective health center operations.
  • Lead team members in adhering to established standards and policies.
  • Collaborate with organizational leadership to resolve interdepartmental conflicts.
  • Facilitate staff development through training and regular feedback.
  • Set goals and objectives, supporting teams in achieving them.
  • Provide mentorship for team members.
  • Conduct meetings and committees as necessary.
  • Coordinate ongoing training for team members.
  • Exhibit strong organizational and planning capabilities.
  • Conduct annual evaluations for team leaders and ensure quality assessments for all staff.
  • Monitor staff progress towards evaluation goals, offering assistance as needed.
  • Work with the Director of Operations to implement quality improvement initiatives and identify process enhancement opportunities.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by leadership.
  • Ensure departmental compliance and report data to management.
  • Communicate corporate policies and ensure their implementation among staff.

SIGNATURE AUTHORITY

The Clinical Operations Supervisor is authorized to approve routine supply orders up to established thresholds and may approve individual purchases up to a specified limit.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing, business management, healthcare management, social work, or a related field.

Minimum Work Experience: At least five years in administrative or clinical roles within a healthcare setting, with a minimum of two years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.

Required License: Registered Nurse.

Qualifications: Candidates should demonstrate strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to monitor team efficiencies and analyze situations for effective action. Successful applicants will be skilled in implementing action plans for process improvements and communicating effectively with diverse audiences.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Frequent travel between clinics is necessary, with mileage reimbursement provided.

WORK HOURS: 40+ hours per week, exempt from wage and hour laws; schedule may vary.
