Sales Representative for Northeast Region

Position Title: Northeast Regional Sales Representative
Location: Candidates must reside within the designated territory.
Experience Required: Candidates must possess a background in construction sales and experience engaging with the Architecture and Design (A&D) community.
As the Northeast Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and enhancing market presence with current clients while actively seeking new business opportunities. This role emphasizes the importance of cultivating relationships with architecture and design firms. By fostering strong connections within our client network, you will establish yourself as a knowledgeable resource and product specialist in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct appointments and presentations with architects, interior designers, contractors, and facility end users.
- Manage and expand relationships across the Northeast territory.
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to enhance market share.
Qualifications:
- A college degree is preferred, or equivalent experience in the field.
- Proven experience engaging with the A&D community is essential.
- Prior sales experience in a business-to-business context, with a successful track record in prospecting and business development.
- Extensive experience in construction sales is mandatory; experience in window coverings sales is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated history of achieving sales growth and collaborating effectively within a team.
- Self-motivated individual capable of working independently while also contributing as a valued team member.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and exceptional listening, probing, and closing skills.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Professional oral and written communication skills are a must.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email).
- Ability to adapt positively to the evolving demands of company growth.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% within the assigned territory.
Compensation: Expected salary range is $70,000 - $80,000 base plus commissions.
