Solar Program Customer Support Representative

Contract Type: Contract to hire
Pay Rate: $22 per hour
Eligibility: Must be a US Citizen, Green Card Holder, or authorized to work in the US.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
- Work Environment: Hybrid (up to 3 days in office)
We are seeking a skilled and diverse customer support representative to join our Solar Programs team. The Community Solar Program is an innovative initiative designed to provide customers with savings on their annual electricity expenses when they enroll in local solar projects. Additionally, our Rooftop Solar Sales division is dedicated to assisting customers in achieving solar independence by integrating rooftop solar solutions into their homes. The Solar Program Customer Support Representative will handle customer inquiries, facilitate the enrollment process, and ensure a positive experience for all clients. The ideal candidate will contribute to a new team that plays a crucial role in the success of our initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inbound calls from customers interested in the Community Solar Program and Rooftop Solar installations.
- Clarify program details and outline the benefits available to customers.
- Guide customers through the enrollment process.
- Update customer accounts with necessary information.
- Conduct outbound calls to follow up on partial enrollments.
- Provide continuous support to both new and existing customers.
- Assist in the program's customer acquisition and retention strategies.
- Serve as a generalist for customer support related to new solar initiatives.
- Offer feedback to the Product Team to enhance programs, boost sales, and ensure exceptional customer service.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of experience in a call center environment.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- 1-2 years of experience in retail or customer service roles.
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Access to reliable internet.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 3+ years of experience in retail or customer service.
- 2+ years of experience in a call center.
- Experience in the energy or solar sectors is advantageous.
- Previous experience in customer experience and sales is a plus.
- Ability to communicate in Spanish is beneficial.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and contribute positively to the team.
