About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Solar Sales and Marketing Professional to join our team at NRG Energy. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for meeting weekly and monthly sales goals, while providing exceptional customer service and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent NRG Energy's solar solutions to customers, highlighting the benefits of renewable energy and our company's commitment to quality and customer experience.
  • Manage a large volume of leads and convert them into sales, utilizing consultative sales techniques to differentiate our sales and partnership model.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry incentives, rebates, and standards for residential rooftop solar, as well as available products and financing options.
  • Prepare solar designs, proposals, and acquisition options using industry-standard software.
  • Qualify and manage inbound solar leads, identifying and positioning the appropriate solar energy solution for each customer.
  • Achieve and maintain periodic sales and customer experience goals, while providing general customer support and maintaining databases and sales portals.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience selling energy or electricity-related solutions, with a proven track record of meeting sales goals and exceeding metrics.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, salesforce, and CRM tools, as well as experience working with third-party industry-leading financing tools and solar system design software.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, organizational, and planning skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and collaborate efficiently within a matrix organization.
Working Conditions
  • This is a hybrid work location position, with the individual reporting to the Houston NRG office three assigned days a week and working remotely on the remaining two days.
  • Occasional travel in the Texas region may be required.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, with occasional lifting as necessary to perform duties.
