Key Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Drafting Specialist in a related field.
- Expertise in AutoCAD software.
- A strong analytical and creative mindset for optimizing design layouts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and adapt to evolving requirements.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of solar design, encompassing both electrical and mechanical elements.
- Experience with ground-mounted solar projects is advantageous.
- Familiarity with dynamic blocks, LISP, CAD scripting, and automation techniques.
- Experience with PVCase software is a bonus.
- Proficiency in Spanish is beneficial.
Core Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the US technical team by providing efficient designs and layouts for utility solar projects.
- Support the bidding department with technical evaluations of customer layouts, considering site boundaries, hydrology, and topography to optimize tracker and fixed tilt racking solutions.
- Perform slope analysis and preliminary grading assessments to ensure successful project execution.
- Oversee CAD templates and files to ensure a streamlined and organized drafting workflow.
Collaboration:
- Internal: Work closely with sales and technical teams to gather project specifications and ensure effective communication.
- External: Engage with customer engineering, procurement, and sales representatives to address project-related inquiries and provide essential technical assistance.
