Job Overview

Position Summary

Amiad USA Inc is in search of a skilled and dynamic professional with a solid history of accountability and achievement for the role of Operations and Planning Manager. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all daily operational activities, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, inventory management, maintenance, and ongoing enhancements to maximize efficiency and bolster corporate profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Implement strategies to achieve corporate goals and operational excellence, both in the short and long term.
  • Focus on minimizing waste throughout production and inventory processes.
  • Inspire, guide, and mentor a high-performing team to achieve set objectives.
  • Monitor site performance metrics and report findings to the leadership team.
  • Operate within the established site budget.
  • Support production needs while effectively managing inventory costs.
  • Enhance company reputation by collaborating with sales, suppliers, community representatives, and employees while upholding ethical business standards.
  • Manage daily employee functions, including attendance and disciplinary actions, in close coordination with Human Resources.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and standard operating procedures.

Strategic Planning

  • Ensure timely processing of all operational requests and purchase requisitions by the team.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with headquarters to review and prioritize product orders.
  • Engage in the company's Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to align operations with sales objectives.
  • Regularly assess and adjust safety stock levels in the inventory management system.
  • Lead biannual inventory audits in collaboration with operations and finance teams.
  • Evaluate and provide recommendations on excess and obsolete inventories quarterly.
  • Deliver exceptional communication and service to all stakeholders of Amiad.
  • Meet weekly with Quality and Production teams to address product needs as required.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Execute managerial duties in alignment with Amiad policies and applicable regulations.
  • Conduct interviews, hire, train, and manage employee performance.
  • Plan, assign, and oversee work activities.
  • Approve time sheets while adhering to deadlines.
  • Collaborate with employees to set personal goals and priorities.
  • Facilitate meetings with employees to provide feedback, assess progress, and resolve issues as necessary.
  • Conduct quarterly performance reviews with employees to discuss progress on annual objectives and provide constructive feedback.
  • Document and deliver annual performance evaluations.
  • Address performance issues through corrective actions while maintaining thorough records.
  • Resolve conflicts among colleagues and between employees and customers, using best practices to mediate satisfactory resolutions.
  • Develop and document departmental policies and procedures as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to convey information effectively to customers and all organizational levels.
  • Experience in water filtration or wastewater treatment is advantageous.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in software applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SAP.
  • Demonstrate patience and courtesy with customers, possessing strong negotiation skills.
  • Effectively integrate into and collaborate within a team environment.
  • Capable of operating various types of forklifts.

Work Environment

  • Professional office setting with occasional fieldwork.
  • Regular use of standard office equipment is required.
  • Must comply with company safety policies and wear necessary personal protective equipment.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands for office equipment, talk, and hear.
  • Occasional lifting or moving of office supplies and materials up to 50 pounds may be required.

Travel Requirements

  • Travel to other Amiad USA and global locations may be necessary.
