Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Laboratory Operations Manager to join our team at KA Recruiting Inc. as a Technical Laboratory Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the technical operations of the laboratory, ensuring all procedures are performed in accordance with established policies and guidelines.
  • Support the Director and Manager, and have direct reports, providing guidance and oversight to ensure the successful execution of laboratory tasks.
  • Manage the implementation and maintenance of quality, efficiency, and safety in the laboratory, ensuring compliance with CAP standards.
  • Communicate with leadership on deficiencies in the laboratory, progress of test development, team member actions under consideration, and all unusual occurrences.
  • Demonstrate initiative in tracking and resolving problems, and continually check the accuracy of test methods and instruments in the laboratory.
  • Maintain adequate supplies of materials in the laboratory and participate in cost analysis of existing and prospective tests.
  • Complete orientation and training within the laboratory, assign schedules and work for laboratory personnel, and assist in workload evaluations as needed.
  • Ensure that work assigned to members of the laboratory is completed and reported in a timely manner.
  • Function as a bench technologist assisting with the workload when needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • ASCP certification required.
  • Prior laboratory experience and knowledge.
  • 2-5 years of relevant leadership experience.
