They are tasked with creating and implementing detailed inventory plans for both retail stores and e-commerce platforms, ensuring optimal in-stock levels and planned inventory turnover. Collaboration with various teams such as merchants, vendors, transportation, and distribution is essential to drive successful outcomes.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain inventory plans at the item/location level for a set of product categories
  • Oversee monthly forecasting cycles for product categories
  • Work closely with suppliers to align inventory strategies
  • Collaborate with replenishment teams to execute inventory plans effectively and achieve desired in-stock levels
  • Monitor inventory pipeline, proactively address issues, and establish action plans for any gaps
  • Lead inventory and replenishment strategies for assigned categories, including events, promotions, and seasonal transitions, influencing cross-functional partners
  • Act as a subject matter expert in planning/replenishment systems to optimize inventory placement and quantity for sales and productivity
  • Analyze business performance, derive insights, and formulate strategies to boost sales and inventory efficiency
  • Keep track of significant changes or challenges and communicate timely updates to support sales and financial objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience in demand planning, merchandise planning, replenishment, or related fields

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Self-motivated with a problem-solving mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
