Position Overview:

Mechanical Solution, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Coordinator to oversee all subcontractors and suppliers on various projects while also guiding the Site Superintendent. The Project Coordinator will ensure that all contracted tasks are performed in alignment with the company's standards, including contractual obligations, financial plans, timelines, safety protocols, quality assurance, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will:

  • Manage projects while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with stakeholders including owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Engage in the design development phase to collaborate and optimize construction methods, aiming to reduce time and costs.
  • Establish and uphold project timelines and budgets, ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with life safety and OSHA regulations on all job sites to mitigate risks.
  • Oversee the submittal process, manage change order negotiations, and ensure contract adherence.
  • Build strong relationships and promote a collaborative team atmosphere.
  • Provide accurate pricing for changes in project scope.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC project management.
  • Design-Build and job site experience preferred.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and inspection reports.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods and an understanding of municipal regulations and permit processes.
  • Proficient in managing subcontractors and vendors.
  • Skilled in negotiating and tracking change orders with owners and subcontractors.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Capable of directing the Superintendent to ensure accurate project completion.
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of Building Codes and Safety Regulations.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including MS Excel and MS Project or other Project Management software.
