Role Overview

The Mac New Product Introduction (NPI) Program Management team is seeking a leader to serve as the primary operations liaison with the core product development team and other functional areas within Apple. As the product owner, the NPI Program Manager will oversee the successful launch of products, ensuring alignment with established cost, quality, schedule, availability, and customer experience objectives. The NPI Program Manager is accountable for all aspects of project launches, which include:

  • Leading ramp availability for all product components in collaboration with Materials, Quality, Engineering, and other internal and external teams.
  • Ensuring that security, materials, equipment, fixtures, staffing, training, and documentation plans are established with our partners.
  • Driving responsive supply chains that optimize cost efficiency, operational flexibility, and high quality.
  • Assessing, analyzing, consolidating, and clearly communicating risks and statuses to management, highlighting key issues and proposing solutions to the cross-functional executive team during new product reviews and other executive forums.
  • Facilitating connections between the Operations and Engineering Teams and the Factory teams throughout various development builds and the new product introduction process, including the transition to Sustaining Operations Management.

Minimum Qualifications

Key Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in relevant fields.
  • Background in manufacturing, process engineering, or product development.
  • Experience collaborating with offshore manufacturers and traveling to manufacturing sites.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to present effectively to management.
  • Exceptional relationship-building capabilities.
  • Clear and consistent communication skills.
  • Ability to leverage data for decision-making and a willingness to take decisive action.
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
  • Detail-oriented while managing multiple work streams.
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 20-25% of the time.
  • Technical expertise and prior experience in OEM management.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

BS or MS degree in Engineering.
