Creative Execution (40%)

  • Develop and refine creative briefs that offer strategic insights and inspiration for innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Art Director to create compelling and strategically driven concepts and campaigns.
  • Take ownership of designated projects, managing them from inception to completion.
  • Work autonomously under tight deadlines while balancing multiple projects effectively.
  • Provide estimates for copywriting hours required for projects.
  • Engage in client meetings to present ideas and gather feedback.
  • Lead presentations of creative concepts to clients.
  • Participate in relevant market research activities.
  • Collaborate with planning teams to shape strategic branding initiatives.

Team Management (30%)

  • Assign creative teams based on their strengths and current workloads for optimal project fit.
  • Oversee team workloads to enhance productivity, ensuring all members are engaged and billable.
  • Work in tandem with art, editorial, and traffic departments to meet project deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Provide constructive feedback for annual performance evaluations and ongoing developmental feedback throughout the year.
  • Identify and interview potential creative talent for the team.

Leadership Responsibilities (30%)

  • Serve as the creative voice for assigned accounts, advocating for innovative solutions.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and challenges.
  • Collaborate with account management to expand business opportunities within existing client accounts.
  • Partner with creative management to address workflow, performance, and quality issues, while developing long-term strategies for the creative team.
  • Guide creative teams in the development of concepts and execution of all projects.
  • Ensure that all copywriters receive necessary training and mentorship to uphold agency standards and achieve their career aspirations.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of clients' products and marketing challenges, responding effectively to their strategic and creative needs.
  • Represent the agency at client meetings and relevant social events as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in an agency setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Communications, Fine Arts, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven track record of creative excellence, successful client engagement, collaborative work with account management, exceptional presentation skills, and experience in managing creative teams across multiple accounts.
