Lead Creative Strategist

Alice and Olivia is on the lookout for a Senior Art Director who will serve as a creative leader to enhance the company's brand presence and elevate storytelling. This role presents a remarkable opportunity for an experienced creative professional to significantly influence the organization. The Senior Art Director will oversee and guide art direction, graphic design, and content creation, collaborating closely with the founder. You will be instrumental in directing the development and implementation of impactful, brand-aligned, and strategically creative initiatives. A strong background in working with cross-functional teams across Social, Digital, Ecommerce, Retail, and Marketing projects is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take charge of the visual identity, tone, and style of creative projects, consistently aiming to enhance the brand while ensuring thoughtful and uniform execution across all brand interactions.
- Lead the conceptualization and execution of photoshoot campaigns from initial idea to final delivery.
- Collaborate with the CEO and VP of Global Visuals to align and prioritize team projects and objectives.
- Support the internal creative department by delivering innovative campaigns, creative platforms, and outputs with a well-defined creative strategy.
- Establish strategic creative solutions and develop a comprehensive consumer journey across various platforms. You will manage a team of direct reports as well as freelance support and agency partnerships.
- Provide guidance for design and branding teams, including creative tools and resources.
- Work closely with the Senior Director of Creative Operations and production teams to schedule and staff studio e-commerce shoots and special projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
- Inspire and lead a dynamic team of creatives, acting as a hands-on leader who drives quality and fosters a culture of innovation and boundary-pushing to create elevated and brand-consistent assets.
- Develop visual standards and guidelines (including art direction, tone, style, graphics, typography, video, curated UGC, commissioned and organic content).
- Enhance and refine the brand's visual experience while preserving the core identity in video content across both organic and paid social channels.
- Exhibit a passion for and proficiency in social media, staying ahead of trends in social ideation.
- 5-10 years of in-house art direction experience, with substantial exposure to diverse focus areas, including brand strategy, digital marketing materials, visual design, merchandising, and collateral materials.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing creative teams.
- A robust network of photographers, stylists, producers, agencies, and freelancers is essential.
- Ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve their best work and foster a high-performance culture.
- Proficient in making critical creative decisions promptly and serving as a composed, solution-oriented leader.
- Graphic design experience is advantageous.
- Understanding of digital, social, PR, experiential, emerging platforms, and the evolving media landscape.
- Strategic and analytical thinking with the ability to identify impactful initiatives.
- Salary range: $130,000 - $180,000 base salary (This range represents the anticipated base salary range for this position, dependent on various factors such as experience, qualifications, skillset, and internal equity).
