Job Overview

The Creative Strategy Director plays a pivotal role in guiding the creative initiatives across multiple accounts, ensuring that each project aligns with client expectations and strategic goals. This position involves leading teams, fostering creativity, and collaborating closely with account management to deliver high-quality creative solutions that meet client needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Development (40%)

  • Collaborate in crafting and refining creative briefs that offer strategic insights and inspire innovative ideas.
  • Partner with the Lead Art Director to create compelling and strategically aligned concepts and campaigns.
  • Oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet established objectives.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to tight deadlines.
  • Estimate project timelines and resource requirements.
  • Engage in client discussions to understand their vision and objectives.
  • Present creative concepts to clients with confidence and clarity.
  • Participate in relevant market research to inform creative direction.
  • Collaborate with planning teams to shape strategic branding initiatives.

Team Management (30%)

  • Assign creative teams based on their strengths and current workloads.
  • Optimize team productivity by managing workloads effectively.
  • Coordinate with art, editorial, and traffic departments to ensure timely delivery within budget.
  • Provide constructive feedback during performance evaluations and throughout the year.
  • Identify and interview potential creative talent for the team.

Leadership Role (30%)

  • Serve as the creative voice for assigned accounts, establishing strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate with account management to enhance business opportunities with existing clients.
  • Work with creative leadership to address workflow and quality challenges, developing long-term strategies for the creative team.
  • Lead creative teams in the ideation and execution of all projects.
  • Ensure that all team members receive appropriate training and mentorship to meet agency standards and personal career aspirations.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of client products and marketing challenges, responding effectively to their strategic and creative needs.
  • Represent the agency at client meetings and relevant events as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in an agency environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Communications, Fine Arts, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven track record of creative excellence, successful client engagement, and the ability to collaborate effectively with account teams.
  • Exceptional presentation skills and experience managing creative teams across multiple accounts.
