Position Overview

The selected candidate will serve as a mechanic within the workshop and at racing events. This role involves the assembly and disassembly of high-performance race vehicles, ensuring they are meticulously prepared for competitive weekends. The mechanic must possess a diverse skill set to address all facets of a race car, focusing on various sections including front, rear, and mid. During race events, the mechanic will make necessary adjustments to the vehicle as directed, ensuring all components are securely fastened.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough cleaning and inspection of suspension systems.
  • Perform cleaning and assessment of engine auxiliary components.
  • Disassemble race cars as needed, focusing on suspension, engine, and interior elements.
  • Install suspension systems, both front and rear.
  • Execute trimming and installation of assorted components.
  • Carry out additional related tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Certificate or Diploma from an Automotive Trade School or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
  • Prior experience as a mechanic in an automotive dealership or similar environment is advantageous.
  • Experience working with a racing team is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools is essential.
  • Ability to lift weights exceeding 20lbs.
  • Capability to bend, kneel, sit, or stand for prolonged periods.

This position is subject to regular drug testing in accordance with governing body regulations.
