The selected candidate will serve as a mechanic within the workshop and at racing events. This role involves the assembly and disassembly of high-performance race vehicles, ensuring they are race-ready for the weekend competitions. The mechanic must possess a diverse skill set to address all facets of a race car, with particular emphasis on the front, rear, and mid sections. At the racing venue, the mechanic will make necessary adjustments to the vehicle as directed, ensuring all components are securely fastened.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough cleaning and inspection of suspension systems.
- Perform cleaning and evaluation of engine ancillary parts.
- Disassemble race cars, focusing on suspension, engine, and interior components as needed.
- Install suspension systems, both front and rear.
- Trim and fit various components as required.
- Execute additional related tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- A Certificate or Diploma from an Automotive Trade School or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
- Prior experience as a mechanic in an automotive dealership or similar setting is advantageous.
- Experience with a racing team is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools is essential.
- Capability to lift weights exceeding 20lbs.
- Ability to bend, kneel, sit, or stand for prolonged periods.
This position is subject to routine drug screenings in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
