Job Overview

JR Motorsports, a prominent entity in the NASCAR racing industry, is in search of a proficient and enthusiastic electrical technician to manage the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components within our race cars.

POSITION SUMMARY
The ideal candidate will possess the skills necessary to install, remove, repair, or replace electrical systems or components associated with race vehicles. This role involves making informed technical decisions guided by experience and collaboration with the Engineering team. Responsibilities include disassembling, assembling, conducting quality control reviews, and fine-tuning race car components.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions

To excel in this position, an individual must effectively carry out the following duties:

  • Assemble, disassemble, install, repair, and/or replace electrical components.
  • Conduct inspections and take samples from components for thorough review.
  • Install, repair, and adjust electrical harnesses as necessary.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education and Experience

Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
Experience: A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is preferred.
Computer Skills: Intermediate proficiency in computer applications.
Additional Requirements: Flexibility in work schedule, willingness to travel if necessary, and the ability to instruct and lead small groups. A comprehensive understanding of mechanical components and automotive systems is essential. Candidates should possess personal tools and equipment, familiarity with measuring instruments, and the capability to adhere to detailed procedures. Strong problem-solving skills and basic fabrication and machining abilities are also advantageous.
