Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct engine simulation analyses in various domains, including 1D & 3D CFD powertrain dynamics, gas exchange, combustion processes, and associated mechanical systems.
  • Facilitate simulation activities to identify and prioritize performance enhancement and durability initiatives across different powertrain projects.
  • Collaborate closely with testing engineers to establish testing protocols, instrumentation, and data integrity necessary for model validation.
  • Execute verification and validation processes to assess model reliability and precision.
  • Analyze simulation results in conjunction with design and development leads to outline subsequent steps with engineering management.
  • Perform Design of Experiments (DOEs) to evaluate sensitivities and guide program objectives.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to leadership regarding analytical simulation progress and potential design or development avenues.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical discipline is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience utilizing CAE tools, particularly 1D & 3D-CFD software (e.g., GT-SUITE, CONVERGE, StarCCM+) for engine performance evaluation and optimization.
  • Strong technical foundation in combustion, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and IC engine gas exchange modeling techniques.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Compliance with ITAR regulations necessitates that all employees at this location must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents.
