Desktop Technical Specialist

Job Summary
CompuCom Systems, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Desktop Technical Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT support team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our clients across the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktop applications and hardware
- Manage ticket queues and prioritize incident reports
- Investigate and diagnose technical issues to resolution
- Perform historical analysis of incidents to identify trends impacting service level agreements
- Administer Active Directory and manage ticket queues
- Provide timely updates and resolution to technical issues
- Develop detailed notes within tickets
- Develop rapport with clients and provide exceptional customer experience
- Deploy software and hardware support and troubleshooting to clients nationwide
- Participate in special projects as a technical expert and create technical reference manuals
- Provide remote client L2 support for all US remote users and home users
- Build laptops, deploy, and update software for all users nationwide
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from a technical school preferred
- 1-3 years' experience in IT, Computer Science, or related fields
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office application suite, including MS Outlook
- Experience with multi-platform Windows O/S required
- Working knowledge of Apple OS
- Preferred: Certification in relevant IT products/technologies
- Experience using ITSM Ticketing tools or similar ticketing systems
- Basic knowledge of ITIL, Service Desk metrics/SLA's, and mobile device support
- High proficiency in Technical Documentation and training material
- Experience with properly diagnosing and routing technical problems internally and for the client
Compensation
The pay rate for this position is $24.00 to $29.00 per hour.
