Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Deployment: Design, deploy, configure, and manage the Active Directory infrastructure, including domain controllers, group policies, and user authentication.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain a secure and scalable Active Directory environment, ensuring compliance with best practices and industry standards.
  • Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops solutions that align with business needs.
  • Infrastructure Management: Deploy and manage Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops infrastructure, including provisioning, application delivery, and user profile management.
  • Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and availability of the Citrix environment, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems related to Active Directory and Citrix components, ensuring minimal impact on end users.
  • Security Measures: Implement and enforce security measures to protect the Active Directory and Citrix environments, including access controls, authentication, and data integrity.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to end users, assisting with Active Directory and Citrix-related inquiries and issues.
  • Documentation: Collaborate with the IT team to develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Staying Current: Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Active Directory and Citrix technologies, evaluating their potential impact and recommending improvements.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience: Proven experience as an Active Directory and Citrix Engineer, with a focus on managing and optimizing Active Directory infrastructure and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.
  • Citrix NetScaler: Manage and troubleshoot Citrix NetScaler for load balancing, SSL offloading, and secure remote access.
  • Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops: Experience in designing, deploying, and managing Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops infrastructure, including Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, Citrix StoreFront, and Citrix Netscaler/Client.
  • Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and availability of the Citrix environment, ensuring optimal user experience.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues related to Citrix components, such as application delivery, profile management, and user experience.
  • Security: Implement security best practices and policies to safeguard Citrix infrastructure and data.
  • Performance Tuning: Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning to optimize Citrix infrastructure resources.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Staying Current: Stay up to date with the latest Citrix technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on our environment and recommending improvements.
  • Additional Skills: Experience with SMTP e-mail relay servers, Microsoft IIS-SMTP service and Microsoft Office 365 or Microsoft Exchange.
  • Windows File Sharing: Experience with Windows File Sharing technologies - NTFS permissions, Client Namespace.
  • Azure File Shares: Experience or knowledge of Azure File Shares and Azure File Sync technologies.
  • Virtualization: Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Remote Desktop Services: Experience with Remote Desktop Services, RDS Licensing.
  • Networking: Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues related to Active Directory and Citrix environments.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Citrix Certified Associate - Virtualization (CCA-V), or higher, are highly desirable.
