Job Overview

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team at Sweetheart Ice Cream. This role is essential in driving growth and establishing strong connections within the consumer goods sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue new business prospects within the designated area.
  • Craft and implement a comprehensive business development strategy that aligns with the company's objectives.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with potential clients and industry stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with various teams to ensure effective execution of business initiatives.
  • Evaluate market trends, competitor actions, and customer preferences to uncover new opportunities and assess potential challenges.
  • Lead negotiations and discussions regarding contracts with prospective clients.
  • Track and assess sales performance indicators.
  • Prepare reports and analyses to support strategic decision-making.
  • Engage in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote the company's presence and network with potential clients and partners.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated success in business development or sales roles within the consumer goods or distribution sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of distribution operations, supply chain processes, and retail distribution systems.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven capability to influence and establish rapport with clients.
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on long-term goals.

A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline is advantageous but not mandatory.
