Technical Support Specialist

Position Overview:
The Technical Support Specialist will play a crucial role in delivering technical assistance and support to users throughout the organization. This position encompasses diagnosing hardware and software challenges, overseeing IT infrastructure, and ensuring optimal functionality of all IT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver technical assistance to users through various channels, including phone, email, or face-to-face interactions.
- Identify and rectify hardware and software problems.
- Set up, configure, and sustain computer systems and networks.
- Oversee and maintain IT infrastructure, which includes servers, networks, and security measures.
- Support the installation and rollout of new hardware and software solutions.
- Keep precise records of IT assets and support inquiries.
- Work collaboratively with fellow IT professionals to resolve intricate issues.
- Provide training and guidance to users on IT systems and applications.
- Ensure adherence to organizational IT policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience as a Technical Support Specialist or in a comparable role.
- In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.
- Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to operate independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are advantageous.
