Role: Technical Services Representative – Alternative Energy Solutions (AES)

Position Highlights: This role entails working collaboratively to install and maintain gas compression and compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling systems for both new and existing clientele. A key requirement is proficiency with CMD equipment, including its programming, troubleshooting, maintenance, operation, and application.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation of CNG refueling systems in various locations.
  • Provide operational and maintenance training to end users.
  • Conduct final inspections and testing of equipment before delivery.
  • Support sales efforts through technical demonstrations and assistance.
  • Respond to service inquiries with remote technical support and troubleshooting.
  • Document service trips and distribute reports as necessary.
  • Utilize analytical skills to identify root causes of equipment failures.
  • Recommend and implement corrective measures.
  • Travel to client sites for preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Record site conditions to help prevent unexpected shutdowns.
  • Log customer interactions in the call center database.
  • Coordinate with third-party service providers when required.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Provide 24/7 technical support on a rotational basis, including weekends and holidays.
  • Engage in activities to ensure machinery operates safely and meets customer specifications.
  • Assist in the assembly of new products as needed.
  • Support equipment operation at trade shows.
  • Contribute to research and development projects as required.

Required Skills:

  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Ability to grasp technical specifications of equipment.
  • Capability to work under pressure, think creatively, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Collaborative mindset with effective communication skills.
  • Must possess or be eligible for a U.S. Passport.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license.

Work Environment: CMD operates a secure, well-lit, and comfortable facility. Safety is our utmost priority, and our culture promotes mutual respect, clear communication, and employee well-being.

Employment Status: Full-time, nonexempt with a rotating on-call schedule.

Travel Requirements: Frequent travel may be necessary, up to 50%, typically predictable and scheduled. CMD offers competitive travel incentives and access to company vehicles.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology is preferred.
  • Experience or training in engineering or technical services is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with gas compressors, high-pressure gas systems, and electrical troubleshooting is highly desirable.
