Position Summary:

We are seeking a finance leader with a channel-centric focus to oversee financial forecasting, analysis, and reporting across all commercial avenues at Vuori, including eCommerce, Retail, Wholesale, and International. This role will lead the management of financial performance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, providing insights and best practices to strengthen the finance and channel partnership. As a rapidly growing organization, Vuori offers the chance to refine and enhance processes for scalability. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, detail-oriented team player with extensive experience in large retail or direct-to-consumer businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Forecasting:

  • Oversee the creation of annual budgets, sales forecasts, and rolling forecasts that account for seasonality, market trends, and strategic goals for each channel.
  • Collaborate with channel stakeholders to validate commercial trends against forecasts, driving alignment towards achievable targets.
  • Work closely with merchandising, marketing, and e-commerce teams to ensure financial plans align with business strategies and sales objectives.
  • Analyze sales performance, inventory levels, and channel contributions to maximize revenue and profit margins.

Financial Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth financial analyses to assess customer profitability, promotional strategies, and customer lifetime value.
  • Perform variance and trend analyses to evaluate the financial impact of business decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency improvements.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and actionable insights.
  • Effectively communicate financial results and forecasts to foster collaboration and informed decision-making.

Team Leadership and Process Enhancement:

  • Establish consistent collaboration between finance and channel leaders to enhance accountability for key performance indicators.
  • Continuously improve financial planning and analysis processes, tools, and systems to enhance workflow efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing team, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Encourage growth and best practices within the FP&A team, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovative thinking.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the retail or apparel sector.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with expertise in financial modeling and data analysis tools.
  • Proven ability to derive insights from complex data sets and present them clearly.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying intricate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker focused on driving business outcomes and delivering actionable insights.
  • Leadership experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams in dynamic environments.
  • Familiarity with retail metrics and the ability to manage forecasting against large-scale metrics.
  • Understanding of consumer behavior and market trends in the apparel industry.
  • Experience with retail-specific ERP systems and e-commerce platforms is advantageous.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA or CFA are a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
