Position Overview:
The Manager of Inventory Planning & Allocation for the Outlet division plays a crucial role in managing and distributing inventory across various channels and warehouses. This position requires close collaboration with the Merchandise Planning and Merchandising teams to formulate and implement inventory, pricing, allocation, and replenishment strategies that align with financial objectives and minimize business risks. Additionally, this role involves spearheading strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiencies across all product categories and Outlet locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee operational guidelines and procedures for effective inventory management and allocation.
- Lead the creation and maintenance of inventory plans at the item/location level for Outlet stores, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
- Manage comprehensive reporting and analysis of store performance, identifying insights and opportunities based on financial metrics.
- Collaborate with Merchandise Planning, Merchandising, and Retail Operations teams to address escalated issues and implement process improvements.
- Conduct regular store visits (both in-person and virtual) to identify site-specific opportunities and drive cross-functional initiatives that enhance inventory turnover.
- Evaluate and enhance the systems and tools that support planning and replenishment to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Analyze sales and inventory trends to devise strategies that maximize sales, profitability, and product availability while adhering to store capacity plans.
- Formulate and execute inventory management strategies that support various purchasing and exit strategies.
- Utilize modeling, situation analysis, and operational assessments to inform business decisions with financial insights.
- Translate corporate and divisional objectives into actionable planning and replenishment strategies.
- Engage collaboratively with Merchandise Planning, Merchandising, Retail Operations, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to ensure alignment with inventory strategies and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in inventory or merchandise planning, allocation, supply chain management, or financial analysis.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proven track record of initiating and developing effective inventory strategies.
- Experience in creating and implementing inventory and allocation strategies for brick-and-mortar operations, including capacity planning.
- Strong proficiency in forecasting methodologies and statistical modeling.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to all organizational levels.
- High proficiency in Excel and familiarity with relevant planning, finance, and data management systems.
- Analytical mindset with a self-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity.
- Collaborative team player.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000 annually.
