Position Summary:

The Senior Compensation Specialist will be instrumental in developing, executing, and sustaining competitive and equitable compensation frameworks that align with our business objectives. This role encompasses both headquarters and retail teams, where you will manage and oversee compensation initiatives, perform detailed analyses of compensation metrics, and serve as a subject matter expert for leadership and People & Culture partners. This position necessitates a combination of analytical expertise, a solid grasp of compensation principles, and the capacity to convey complex information clearly while facilitating organizational change.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compensation Frameworks: Design, implement, and manage compensation frameworks, including base salary structures, job classifications, incentive schemes, and recognition initiatives. Lead the job evaluation process to ensure internal equity and uniformity.
  • Compensation Analysis: Conduct thorough evaluations of both internal and external compensation data to assess the competitiveness of our compensation offerings across various roles and levels.
  • Consultative Support: Act as a compensation expert, providing insights and assistance to People & Culture partners, managers, and employees regarding compensation-related queries and challenges.
  • Market Insights: Remain informed about industry trends, benchmarks, and best practices in compensation to guide strategic decisions and maintain competitive and compliant compensation strategies.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze and interpret compensation data to produce actionable insights and reports for leadership, highlighting trends, potential issues, and areas for enhancement.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and refine compensation processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness, utilizing technology and automation where feasible.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations governing compensation practices, including FLSA and EEO, while maintaining documentation to support compliance efforts.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Experience in the retail sector is highly regarded.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in compensation analysis, including job evaluation, market pricing, and program development. Experience in consultancy is advantageous.
  • Expertise in compensation benchmarking methods, survey participation, and data analysis techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle).
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, capable of conveying complex information effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate successfully with cross-functional teams.
Additional Information:

Compensation Range: $100,000-$115,000 annually
