Position Summary:
We are seeking a finance leader with a channel-focused approach to oversee financial forecasting, analysis, and reporting across all commercial avenues, including eCommerce, Retail, Wholesale, and International. This role will be pivotal in managing financial performance and forecasting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, providing insights and best practices to strengthen finance and channel partnerships. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, detail-oriented team player with substantial experience in large retail or direct-to-consumer environments, playing a critical role in developing a robust FP&A framework.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning and Forecasting:

  • Lead the formulation of annual budgets, sales forecasts, and rolling forecasts that consider seasonality, market trends, and strategic goals for each channel.
  • Collaborate with channel stakeholders to validate commercial trends against forecasts, ensuring alignment towards achievable targets.
  • Work closely with merchandising, marketing, and e-commerce teams to synchronize financial plans with business strategies and sales objectives.
  • Analyze sales performance and inventory levels to optimize revenue and profit margins.

Financial Analysis:

  • Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to assess customer profitability, promotional strategies, and customer lifetime value.
  • Perform variance and trend analyses to evaluate the impact of business decisions on financial outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and actionable insights.
  • Effectively communicate financial results and forecasts to facilitate informed decision-making.

Team Leadership and Process Enhancement:

  • Establish consistent workflows between finance and channel leaders to enhance accountability for key performance indicators.
  • Continuously improve financial planning and analysis processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing team, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Encourage innovative thinking within the FP&A team to improve business decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, ideally within the retail or apparel sector.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with expertise in financial modeling and data analysis tools.
  • Proficient in synthesizing complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker focused on driving business results.
  • Proven leadership experience in motivating and developing a high-performing finance team.
  • Familiarity with retail metrics and the ability to manage forecasting against large-scale metrics.
  • Understanding of market trends and consumer behavior in the apparel industry.
  • Experience with retail-specific ERP and e-commerce platforms is advantageous.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA or CFA are a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
