Position Summary

We are in search of a detail-oriented and adaptable Staff Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional results within the corporate accounting sector. This role is pivotal in addressing the financial needs of both internal and external stakeholders, utilizing a blend of established tools and creative solutions to improve our operational workflows. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Senior Director of Accounting and should demonstrate a meticulous approach, innovative thinking, and a passion for teamwork.

Note: This position requires on-site attendance and does not provide relocation assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable: Oversee the accounts payable function, ensuring accurate G/L coding and validating invoices against purchase orders for completeness and approval prior to disbursement. Maintain the vendor master file in NetSuite and assist department leaders and vendors with various inquiries related to accounts payable. Manage 1099 data for vendors and support annual reporting requirements.
  • Concur Administration: Manage the administration of Concur and the corporate credit card program.
  • Accounts Receivable: Direct the accounts receivable process by generating invoices, managing customer collections, conducting credit reviews, and preparing related reports.
  • Financial Closing: Execute monthly financial closing activities for the corporate accounting division, including journal entry creation and account reconciliations.
  • Financial Statements: Assist in the preparation of departmental and consolidated financial statements.
  • Budget Analysis: Analyze actual results on a monthly and quarterly basis against the established budget.
  • Audit Support: Compile organized documentation to facilitate the annual financial statement audit.
  • Reporting: Generate standard and ad-hoc reports for the Chief Financial Officer and Senior Director of Finance.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to strengthen internal controls and optimize business processes.
  • Compliance: Assist with the annual Sunshine Act compliance reports for CMS.
  • Special Projects: Participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in accounts payable processes for a public company, preferably within a small to mid-sized public organization.
  • CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite and Concur is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in the medtech sector is a plus.

Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.

Compensation

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package that reflects our commitment to the health and well-being of our employees and their families. This includes covering 100% of monthly healthcare, dental, and vision insurance premiums, a 401(k) plan with employer matching, and unlimited PTO. The expected salary range is $70,000-90,000 annually, with compensation varying based on relevant skills, experience, and key attributes.
