Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Printing Specialist to join our team at Point32Health. As a key member of our print shop, you will be responsible for operating high-speed, high-volume floor model inserters and digital production printers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Printing Equipment: Ensure the smooth operation of our printing equipment, including high-speed printers and inserters, by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing issues as needed.
  • Set Up and Program Menus: Configure and program menus on our equipment to optimize print quality and efficiency.
  • Release Electronic Files: Release electronic files from our print queue software over the network and select the correct print stream for each job.
  • Provide Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Offer maintenance and troubleshooting services for various equipment found in our print shop, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Operate Paper Handling Equipment: Safely operate paper cutters, folders, and 3-hole drills to prepare materials for printing.
  • Maintain Productivity and Quality: Meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality output and attention to detail, particularly when handling confidential PHI (Protected Health Information) printed materials.
Qualifications
  • Software Proficiency: Demonstrate expertise in utilizing software programs such as MS Word, Excel, Adobe, QDIRECT Print Queue Management, Print Shop Mail (mail merge software), Rediprint, and AIMS (insert software) for 2D bar code closed-loop technology.
  • Image Content Management: Show proficiency in editing and managing image content to mail merge address files in MS Excel, as well as adding variable data drops onto sensitive and confidential communications (PHI) using software such as Print Shop Mail or Rediprint.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Demonstrate the ability to diagnose, solve, and correct operating issues on high-speed, high-volume production printers and inserters, including those requiring Saturday shift work.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly, constructively, and tactfully communicate with internal employees at all levels, including upper management.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service skills, working with internal customers to review unclear instructions, offer alternatives to enhance or streamline projects, and articulate the options the print shop offers to minimize outsourcing when a cost-effective alternative can achieve the same result.
