Position Overview
We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Permanent Lead Maintenance Mechanic to become a vital part of our dynamic team in the manufacturing sector.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in mechanical maintenance, particularly with pneumatic systems, motors, and be proficient in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
This role necessitates a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a comparable position.The successful applicant will be tasked with leading a team of mechanics to ensure the efficient operation and timely upkeep of our manufacturing machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and execute both preventative and corrective maintenance on all production machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal productivity.
- Lead a team of maintenance mechanics, offering training, direction, and support to ensure peak performance from all team members.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues across a variety of equipment, including pneumatic systems and motors.
- Establish and enforce maintenance protocols and schedules using CMMS, ensuring all maintenance tasks are accurately documented and monitored.
- Collaborate with other departments to pinpoint potential improvements and implement strategies to boost efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during all maintenance activities, fostering a safe and healthy workplace.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for the acquisition of necessary spare parts and equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential problems and prevent failures.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or in a similar role within the manufacturing sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in mechanical maintenance, including proficiency with pneumatic systems, motors, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Skilled in utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for scheduling, tracking, and reporting maintenance activities.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a proven track record of managing and motivating a team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with the capacity to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and procedures relevant to the manufacturing industry.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with various departments.
- High physical fitness level and capability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, bending, and prolonged standing.
- A relevant certification or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field is advantageous.
