Role Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, you will be responsible for the preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of building automation control systems. Your focus will be on ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, onsite client interactions. You may also support senior specialists, project managers, engineers, and designers in functional testing and system validation.

It is essential to understand the principles of Building Control systems and to possess the ability to learn about new products and strategies as they become available.

Documentation of daily activities and recommendations is crucial.


Key Duties:
  • Adhere to all safety standards set by ALC and customers, promoting safety awareness on job sites.
  • Communicate with customers upon arrival and before departing the facility, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Engage regularly with customer representatives to familiarize yourself with their operations.
  • Keep customers informed about the nature of services being performed.
  • Identify outstanding issues and recommend system enhancements, upgrades, or repairs.
  • Perform system maintenance in accordance with established service practices, including field controllers, servers, workstations, and hardware.
  • Provide feedback on equipment scheduling and necessary modifications to the service team and supervisors.
  • Manage assigned work efficiently to ensure professional execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Report issues or changes to management promptly, following company policies.
  • Coordinate activities with service coordinators, account managers, and project managers professionally.
  • May provide training to customers on their specific control systems and deliver necessary documentation.
  • Engage in self-study to enhance technical proficiency in the company's product lines and complete required certifications.
  • Ensure timely completion of all job-related documentation, including time sheets, expense reports, and project status reports.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience in the HVAC controls sector
  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to climb ladders or use lift equipment over 8 feet and lift items up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in building HVAC with a focus on building automation controls from a recognized institution
  • Experience managing multiple simultaneous challenges across various disciplines
  • A collaborative team player prioritizing customer interests
