Aquatics Program Supervisor:

As the Aquatics Program Supervisor at British Swim School of Greater Santa Clara, you will play a vital role in fostering a vibrant and professional atmosphere, ensuring that our clients and their children receive an exceptional educational experience in swimming.

Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate closely with the franchise owner and our team of swim instructors to cultivate a positive culture and ensure the seamless operation of our programs. You will also be instrumental in attracting new clients and maintaining their loyalty.

This position starts as part-time with the potential to transition into a full-time role as we expand. Flexibility in your schedule is essential, including availability on weekends and evenings. Local travel to various pools in the Greater Santa Clara area, as well as attendance at aquatic training sessions and conferences, will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the instruction of the British Swim School curriculum for both children and adults.
  • Train and mentor swim instructors in the BSS swim methodology, supporting their ongoing professional development.
  • Utilize BSS assessment tools to uphold the quality of lessons.
  • Evaluate instructor performance and develop improvement plans as needed.
  • Provide guidance in managing challenging class situations.
  • Contribute to business growth and customer acquisition efforts.
  • Handle enrollment and scheduling tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in swimming and fitness instruction or management; specialized aquatics qualifications are a plus.
  • Passion for working with children and commitment to our mission of water safety and survival.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining service standards, particularly in child-focused environments.
  • Lifeguard certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in another language is advantageous.
