About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aquatics Director to join our team at Waterworks Swim. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality of our swim lesson and aquatics programming, ensuring the overall profitability of our locations, and strengthening the overall customer and employee experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Program Development and Management
  • Oversee the quality of aquatics programming across assigned locations.
  • Ensure staffing levels and lesson/aquatics programming needs are met.
Staff Management and Development
  • Responsible for the ongoing training and development of future and existing Senior Instructors, Lead Trainers, and Quality Managers.
  • Oversee the hiring, interviewing, and training of new aquatics staff members.
Operational Excellence
  • Conduct daily/weekly audits to ensure standardization and consistency in the quality of training given to trainees.
  • Oversee the Deck Guards to ensure proper evaluations are given and feedback is provided on a regular basis.
Performance Management
  • Conduct and ensure on-time delivery of performance reviews to all aquatics staff.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience
  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Previous aquatics management experience is required.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Must be willing to be in water at least hours per week.
  • Previous people management experience is required.
  • Experience in marketing and/or sales is a plus.
  • First Aid, CPR, AED Certification (Infant, Child, Adult).
  • Must be goal and results-driven.
  • Must be solutions-oriented.
  • Must showcase ability to coach, train, and motivate employees.
  • Must be energetic, outgoing, and a quick learner.
  • Must have a positive attitude.
