Position Overview:

Compensation:
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for:
1. Serving as a program monitor for assigned clients, which includes liaising with families, conducting staff meetings, and providing guidance on personal and work-related challenges.
2. Writing assessments and crafting individualized program and person-centered plans.
3. Developing, implementing, and maintaining educational curriculums that are engaging and tailored to client needs.
4. Offering training and support in personal self-care, including assistance with daily living activities such as feeding, transferring, and toileting.
5. Completing all necessary documentation and reports to ensure compliance with client, customer, and funding standards.
6. Creating and facilitating meaningful community activities, including transportation arrangements.
7. Providing training and support in both vocational and recreational settings.
8. Ensuring adherence to safety and confidentiality protocols.
9. Operating machinery and equipment as needed to assist clients in completing tasks.
10. Acting as a mandated reporter for any instances of abuse.
11. Performing additional duties as assigned to enhance program efficiency.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a High School diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent, along with at least one year of relevant experience working with individuals with disabilities in a rehabilitation context.

For licensed day programs:
Completion and clearance of a criminal background check, TB test, physician's report, and First Aid and CPR certification are required.

Reporting Structure:
This position reports to the Program Coordinator or Site Manager.

Essential Skills and Abilities:
1. Strong understanding and ability to connect with individuals with disabilities and their families.
2. Proficient in observing, evaluating, documenting, and communicating effectively both verbally and in writing.
3. Capability to develop and utilize instructional materials and curriculums.
4. Ability to teach essential work habits and social skills to individuals with developmental disabilities.
5. Familiarity with community resources for client instruction and referrals.
6. Basic computer skills.

Work Environment:
This role involves time spent in a classroom setting and regular community outings, which may include driving larger vehicles. Exposure to various weather conditions, dust, and allergens is expected. The position may also involve handling personal care needs of clients, including occasional lifting and transferring of individuals.
