Conduct thorough activity assessments through patient observation and interviews with patients and their families to gather essential information regarding their needs, skills, interests, and limitations, which will inform the development and execution of personalized treatment plans.
Design and execute a diverse activities program that aligns with the treatment objectives and supports patient development.
Instruct patients in various activities and techniques, including sports, dance, music, art, or relaxation methods tailored to their individual requirements.
Formulate treatment plans and implement activity interventions that cater to patient interests and assist them in achieving their therapeutic goals.
Assist patients in acquiring the social skills necessary for independence.
Adapt activities to meet the specific needs of different groups.

Additional Responsibilities:
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy or a related field recognized for national certification in the relevant area of expertise.
Certifications:
Certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or in the process of obtaining national certification; OR certification in a specialized area (Art, Dance, Music, etc.) OR clinical licensure (LCPC, LPC, etc.) with certification in an expressive therapy field.
Compensation:
Compensation for positions at Acadia Healthcare varies based on numerous factors, including location, role, skill set, and experience level.
Compensation Range = $28.00/hour - $39.00/hour - DOE - Based on relevant work experience
