Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $20.00
Key Responsibilities:
The following duties are essential to this role:
1.
Serve as a program overseer for assigned clients, maintaining communication with families, conducting staff meetings, and offering guidance on personal and work-related challenges. Develop and implement individualized incentive plans while providing continuous feedback on client progress.
2. Write assessments and create personalized program plans tailored to individual needs.3. Design, implement, and sustain educational curriculums that are engaging and relevant to clients.
4. Provide training and assistance in personal self-care, including daily living activities such as feeding, transferring, and toileting.
5.
Complete all necessary documentation and reports to ensure compliance with service standards for clients, customers, and funding sources.
6. Organize and facilitate meaningful community activities, including transportation arrangements.7. Offer training and support in both vocational and recreational environments.
8. Ensure adherence to safety and confidentiality protocols.
9. Operate necessary machinery and equipment to assist clients in completing tasks.
10. Act as a mandated reporter for any suspected abuse.
11. Perform additional duties as required to enhance program efficiency.
Qualifications:
High School diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent, along with a minimum of one year of relevant experience working with individuals with disabilities in a rehabilitation setting.
For licensed day programs:
Completion of a criminal background check, TB test, physician's report, and certification in First Aid and CPR is required.
Reporting Structure:
Reports to the Program Coordinator or Site Manager.
Skills and Abilities:
1. Ability to connect with individuals with disabilities, their families, and community members.
2. Proficient in observing, evaluating, documenting, and communicating both verbally and in writing.
3. Capable of developing and utilizing instructional materials and curriculums.
4. Skilled in teaching essential work habits and social skills to individuals with developmental disabilities.
5. Knowledgeable in leveraging community resources for client education and referrals.
6. Basic computer skills are necessary.
Work Environment:
This role involves time spent in educational settings, regular community outings, and may require driving larger vehicles. Exposure to various weather conditions, dust, and allergens is expected. The position may also involve handling materials and personal care tasks, including potential exposure to bodily fluids. Occasional lifting and transferring of clients may be necessary.
