Position Summary: We are looking for a committed and knowledgeable Technical Support Engineer to enhance our team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive hardware expertise, robust networking capabilities, and a proactive mindset towards troubleshooting and technical assistance. This position is vital for the upkeep and enhancement of our IT framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering technical support to customers.
  • Configuring and assembling hardware components.
  • Ensuring the smooth operation of all hardware and network systems.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of various hardware devices (PCs, Notebooks, Tablets, Raspberry Pi, Printers, etc.).
  • Proficient in computer formatting, cloning, Access Point configuration, and diverse printer setups.
  • Understanding of Ethernet networking principles.
  • Experience with structured cabling (CAT5e, CAT6, etc.).
  • Familiarity with switches, routers, and other networking equipment.
  • Ability to configure and manage network switches and routers.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting Ethernet networks, including connectivity and performance challenges.
  • Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, ARP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, among others.
  • Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools.
  • Understanding of network security measures, including firewalls and VPNs.
  • Capability to implement and oversee security protocols to safeguard data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems, particularly in a network context; knowledge of Linux is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage and configure network servers, including DNS and DHCP servers.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and resolving technical issues efficiently.
  • Experience providing technical support through various channels.
  • Skill in documenting issues and solutions in ticketing systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Portuguese and/or Spanish is a plus).
  • Aptitude for explaining technical concepts clearly to users with varying levels of expertise.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to manage diverse and changing priorities.
  • Capability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in hardware technical support or a related role.
  • Previous experience in corporate settings or large network infrastructures is a plus.

This position is on-site. The company does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
