Key Responsibilities

Overview

We are in search of a proactive and strategic individual for the role of Facility Operations Manager. This position necessitates close collaboration with regional and local management to set and achieve the facility's goals in accordance with company policies and client needs. The individual will oversee all facility expenditures.

Primary Duties

  • Directs the administration, security, and treatment programs at the facility. Establishes objectives, sets goals, and develops long-term plans.
  • Fosters strong relationships with client departments and representatives.
  • Implements and enforces effective administrative policies and directives, supplementing them with written guidelines.
  • Oversees all facility operations, assigns responsibilities, and delegates authority.
  • Responsible for staff recruitment, training, communication, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensures the implementation of proper procedures, methods, and techniques across programs and operations.
  • Provides necessary facilities, equipment, and space for staff and clients.
  • Ensures staff preparedness to effectively manage emergencies.
  • Conducts regular inspections to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of staff and facility property.
  • Collaborates with relevant corporate or client officials on policy matters.
  • Remains informed about legal decisions and statutory requirements impacting facility operations.
  • Analyzes financial documents, records, proposals, and budget estimates.
  • Establishes and maintains productive relationships with government agencies and the community.
  • Available on-call 24/7 to address significant incidents.
  • Performs additional duties as necessary to ensure effective facility operation.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences or a related field, with additional coursework in business administration. A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a correctional or detention facility, preferably as an Associate Facility Administrator or Warden.
  • Oversight of a substantial number of clients may compensate for limited supervisory experience.
  • Essential proficiency in program objectives, correctional laws, and management of secure facilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership, sound judgment, and administrative skills, with the ability to guide and coordinate effectively.
  • Exhibits maturity, flexibility, and the ability to earn respect from staff and clients.
  • U.S. citizenship and a minimum age of twenty-one (21) required.
  • Willingness to undergo thorough background checks as mandated by relevant authorities.
