Position Overview:
SUMMARY
Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) is seeking a qualified Facilities Maintenance Manager. The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate the personnel responsible for maintaining and repairing various building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, at the Project facilities. This role requires close collaboration with the Production Control Clerk, Project Manager, Tool Room Specialist, and other lead personnel to ensure all contractual obligations and administrative requirements are fulfilled. The Facilities Maintenance Manager will also address inquiries and requests from clients and their representatives and may participate in meetings.
Compensation: $72,500 - $93,100 annually
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage work orders effectively.
- Oversee tool room operations and inventory logging.
- Collect quotes, estimates, and procure necessary materials.
- Coordinate and supervise repair activities.
- Conduct facility inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Manage the service, repair, and overall upkeep of the facilities.
- Utilize computer systems and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word) for communication and data management.
- Assist field workers as needed.
- Perform data entry, filing, and recordkeeping tasks.
- Generate necessary documentation and reports.
- Maintain knowledge of materials available on-site.
- Be prepared to work outside of regular hours when required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supervising maintenance operations.
- Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to pass a DHS/ICE facility access background check.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Self-motivated and dependable.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supervising multiple trades.
- Background in HVAC or electrical systems.
Physical Requirements:
The role may require maintaining physical conditions necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for extended periods. The employee must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements:
This position is not currently subject to federal or company requirements regarding COVID-19 vaccination or regular testing; however, this may change in the future. Employees are expected to comply with all current and future federal and company mandates.
Work Environment:
The job is performed in an office, building, and outdoor setting, with exposure to various outdoor elements.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises maintenance staff to ensure efficient operations.
Additional Qualifying Factors:
As a condition of employment, candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable, candidates must also obtain the necessary clearance levels required for access to military installations.
