Goodwill Industries of San Diego County is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to support our daily operations. As a key member of our team, you will assist the Operations Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of our outlet, focusing on revenue goals, customer service, and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Operations Manager in daily department operations, ensuring revenue goals are met and excellent customer service is provided.
- Manage Daily Operations in the absence of the Operations Manager, including revenue and production goals, employee relations, wage and hour compliance, and administrative duties.
- Provide Leadership and Guidance to staff, promoting a positive work environment, motivating employees, and achieving departmental goals.
- Collaborate with Teams to meet daily needs, execute the daily plan, and ensure the quality of products prior to auctions.
- Implement Initiatives such as 4DX methodology and Kaizen continual improvement, driving organizational growth and efficiency.
- Support the Recycling Department as needed and assess daily operational needs, including the parking lot, compactor area, and dock area.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
- One to two years of related experience.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- CA Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill's insurance company requirements.
- Forklift certification and ability to operate a pallet jack.
