We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Range Complex Sustainment Coordinator to join our team at General Dynamics Information Technology. This role will be responsible for providing operational, environmental, and information management expertise to support Fleet training range complexes and operations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide operational, environmental, and information management expertise and support at range complexes
- Monitor range utilization and coordinate the electronic Range Complex Management Plan (eRCMP) update
- Support environmental planning documentation for training activities and monitor implementation of environmental requirements
- Track and maintain environmental assessment and permit compliance thresholds in Data Collection and Scheduling Tool (DCAST)
- Support data collection for range sustainment projects, including environmental planning, eRCMPs, RCAs, and marine mammal reporting
- Update and maintain EIS/eRCMP crosswalk tools in DCAST
- Coordinate efforts between assigned command, PACFLT environmental and range staff, USN region, and REC; local range management and scheduling authorities; user communities; and service providers
- Identify emerging encroachment challenges on Fleet training mission and support regional encroachment management team in addressing issues
- Participate in oversight of Fleet range sustainment programs and support development and review of other Fleet range sustainment projects
- Monitor and review classified SPORTS or any classified information to ensure Fleet training is in compliance with the MMPA Letter of Authorization
- Work closely with the Regional CPLO and PACFLT for all Encroachment issues
- BA/BS degree or additional years of experience in lieu of degree
- 8+ years of experience in USN Fleet training, operational planning, and exercise implementation
- Staff experience in tactical training range operations, airspace management policy, oceanic and special use airspace, and range management
- Experience in encroachment, environmental, and other range sustainment issues that can affect mission readiness
- Experience in and extensive technical and legal knowledge of the regulations of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Executive Order Environmental Effects Abroad of Major Federal Actions), the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA) and the Endangered Species Act (ESA)
