This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead the administration of a correctional facility as a Facility Operations Manager. As a key member of the GEO Secure Services team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring the safety and security of inmates and staff, and maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective administrative policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
- Supervise and manage a team of staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the resources and training needed to perform their duties.
- Collaborate with regional and local management to develop and achieve facility goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Manage facility budgets and resources, making sound financial decisions to ensure the effective use of resources.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with government and private agencies, including law enforcement units and the community.
- Respond to emergencies and unusual occurrences, providing leadership and guidance to staff as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in the behavioral sciences or a related field, supplemented by courses in business administration.
- At least 10 years of work experience in a correctional or detention facility, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership ability, sound judgment, and effective administrative ability.
- Ability to command the respect and confidence of inmates and staff.
- United States citizenship.
- Age 21 or older.
- Willingness to undergo a rigorous background investigation.
