Job Overview and Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Program Representative III (Supervisor), the Program Representative II serves as a primary technical advisor and independently addresses complex cases. This role involves providing expert instruction and support concerning the regulations and statutes outlined in the Automotive Repair Act, as well as conducting thorough case data analysis, planning investigations, and facilitating field training.

The Program Representative II position does not qualify for a 4/10/40 work schedule.

  • Automotive Systems Diagnosis and Repair
  • Motor Vehicle Emissions Controls Testing and Repair
  • Automotive Collision Repair and Refinishing.

Working Environment

The incumbent is expected to work 40 hours per week in an office environment equipped with artificial lighting and climate control. Regular access to a personal computer and telephone is required. While primarily stationed in the office, approximately 75% of the workweek will be spent in the field, which may involve driving and mobility. The role necessitates frequent hand manipulations and body movements, as well as occasional navigation around obstacles during investigations. Travel throughout an assigned geographical area using various transportation methods is a requirement.

Special Qualifications

  • A valid California Driver's License (CDL) is required. Applicants must provide their CDL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements or restrictions in their application.
  • Medical clearance is mandatory prior to employment.

Applicants must possess a valid California driver's license and maintain a good driving record. A medical examination will be conducted to ensure fitness for the role. Candidates should have a clean work history, free from revocation or suspension of licenses related to Lamp Installer/Adjuster, Brake Installer/Adjuster, Smog Technician, or Smog Inspector.
