Position Overview

Role Summary

The Service Cashier plays a crucial role in managing cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and efficiency, while also providing assistance to customers regarding payments, invoices, and other financial inquiries. The Service Cashier is also responsible for scheduling service appointments for customers reaching out through various channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately process cash transactions for vehicle purchases, parts, and service payments, adhering to dealership policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular cash counts and resolve discrepancies as necessary.
  • Utilize the dealership's computer system to calculate customer bills.
  • Securely process credit and debit card transactions, confirming account details, obtaining necessary authorizations, and issuing receipts promptly.
  • Manage check payments, ensuring proper documentation and verification.
  • Generate and manage invoices for vehicle sales, service, and parts transactions.
  • Accurately issue cash refunds for approved merchandise returns.
  • Collaborate with department managers to stay informed about new products and services and any pricing changes.
  • Assist the service department by answering phone calls to schedule appointments.
Qualifications
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, scheduling appointments both in-person and over the phone.
  • Basic proficiency with computers and office equipment (e.g., copier, credit card machine, telephone, adding machine).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable with basic mathematical calculations and detail-oriented to minimize errors.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as a Cashier with appointment scheduling responsibilities.
  • Experience in an automotive dealership setting.
Additional Information

Compensation (Hourly):
  • $21.00 / hour
Schedule:
  • FULL TIME
  • Availability required from Monday to Saturday.
  • Enjoy Sundays off with one additional day off during the week.
