Position Overview
Summary
The Service Cashier is tasked with accurately and efficiently managing cash, credit, and debit transactions while assisting customers with payment inquiries, invoices, and other financial matters. This role also involves scheduling service appointments for customers reaching out to the dealership.
Key Responsibilities
- Process cash transactions for vehicle purchases, parts, and service payments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to dealership policies.
- Conduct regular cash counts and resolve discrepancies as necessary.
- Utilize the dealership's computer system to calculate customer bills.
- Securely process credit and debit card transactions, verifying account details, obtaining necessary authorizations, and issuing receipts promptly.
- Manage check payments, ensuring proper documentation and verification.
- Generate and manage invoices for vehicle sales, service, and parts transactions.
- Issue cash refunds accurately for approved returns.
- Collaborate with department managers to stay informed about new products, services, and pricing changes.
- Assist the service department with phone calls to schedule appointments.
- Ability to multitask while booking and scheduling appointments in-person or via phone.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with office equipment (copiers, credit card machines, telephones, adding machines).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable with basic math calculations and detail-oriented to minimize errors.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

- Applicants must demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, drug tests, and possess a valid driver’s license.
- Prior experience as a Cashier and in appointment scheduling.
- Experience in an automotive dealership setting.
Compensation (Hourly):
- $21.00 / hour
- FULL TIME
- Availability required Monday (7:30 AM - 6 PM) to Saturday (7 AM - 6 PM).
- Sundays off with one additional day off during the week.
