Position Summary:

The Assistant Manager role at Heavenly Sports California Main Lodge is a seasonal position focused on high-volume ski and snowboard rentals during winter and outdoor retail operations in summer. This location is recognized as the busiest rental-retail outlet in the region. The Assistant Manager will lead a winter team of up to 60 staff members, overseeing all facets of store operations, employee performance, and exceptional guest service.

Position Specifications:

  • Location: Heavenly Sports California Main Lodge
  • Expected Compensation: Starting at $27.48, adjusted based on experience.
  • Availability: Full-Time, Seasonal Winter Role
  • Experience Level: Advanced

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, onboard, train, mentor, and support a high-performing team.
  • Exhibit energy and motivation while managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Model and enforce company policies, guidelines, and core values.
  • Deliver outstanding service to all guests.
  • Enhance store efficiency and profitability.
  • Oversee inventory management and strive to meet or exceed inventory targets.
  • Implement company loss prevention policies and procedures.
  • Maintain all company documentation in accordance with policies and standards.
  • Communicate effectively with Store and Regional Managers regarding ideas or concerns.
  • Manage operational budgets and payroll effectively.
  • Stay informed about new industry products and trends, demonstrating product knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of retail sales experience preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in ski/snowboard retail required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and guests in spoken and written English required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Familiarity with rental and retail POS systems preferred.
  • Team player capable of thriving in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Commitment to providing the highest standards of customer service.

The expected pay range is $27.48. This reflects the compensation we anticipate for this position, with individual decisions based on various factors.
